A BRIEF HISTORY OF WINFIELD HOMES

Over 25 years ago, founders Scott Swick and Jim Baudry dreamed of starting a new kind of homebuilding company, one that overcame the prevalent reputation of builders with cost overruns, missed deadlines, panicky last-minute selections, and damaged relationships with their customers. They dedicated themselves to the timeless principles of integrity, of doing what you say you’re going to do, and creating relationships of trust.

 

In 2020, Jason Zellner joined Winfield Homes as a Partner, bringing over 25 years of construction and real estate experience. With the same principals & beliefs as Scott & Jim, Jason ensures that Winfield Homes will have a long future serving its clients. He has excellent communication skills and truly believes in customer satisfaction as his main goal.

 

Recently, Dave Hau & Mark Grahl have joined Winfield Homes as Partners. Dave has over 25 years of extensive construction experience, focusing on the small details that make a big difference in a home. Mark also has years of experience in the real estate world, including construction and development. They are passionate about building your new home and will guide you through the building process so you are confident in every decision you make.

 

Since inception, Winfield Homes has consistently provided exceptional design/build services to build beautiful high-performance homes for families throughout the Greater Fox Valley area. This well rounded team works together seamlessly and you are working with an owner from the first call to Winfield Homes through the final Turnover of your New Home!

With our intense focus on sustainability, your home will save you 25% or more in utility bills than a home built to current building codes, be more healthy and comfortable, and be better for our environment. As evidence, your home will be tested by 3rd party inspectors for the Focus on Energy and RESNET programs, and you will receive a certificate as proof.

Your journey to a new custom home begins with Jason Zellner. From initial contact to your final plans, Jason will guide you through every step and every detail of the design of your new home. He will ask you the right questions to be sure your custom home will be perfect for you and answer all questions you have during the process. Great communication is a top priority for Winfield Homes and it will not go unnoticed. Jason has a vast array of experience that is a key to guiding you through the design phase. This includes 25 years of construction, remodeling, and real estate sales experience which is crucial for offering the full spectrum of insight required to provide you with the exact home of your dreams!

 

Now that we have your custom home plans on paper, we need to build it! Dave Hau & Mark Grahl have over 25 years of construction experience and are partners with Winfield Homes. Dave & Mark are truly experts at ensuring that your home is built exactly the way you want it with attention to every specific detail in every room.

Dave will walk you through your home multiple times during the build so you have input throughout the entire process. He will visit your new home almost every day to ensure that quality measures are taken from start to finish. Dave has a great relationship with all of our subcontractors which is imperative to creating your

home with the highest quality and on a schedule that was communicated at the first meeting.

Mark will be your main contact for choosing all of your finishes as the Selections Coordinator. Mark excels at understanding the style and aesthetics you desire and assists you with choosing the finished products that complement each other while maintaining your budget. He will accompany you to the suppliers so you have guidance on every decision you make.

Dave & Mark are in constant communication to ensure that the choices you make are properly installed in your home, providing you with a seamless operation from start to finish.
